Computerized Tomography (CT) with 64 channel technology

Greene Medical Imaging is proud to announce the arrival of 64-channel CT, providing the most advanced CT and CTA technology, capable of Coronary CT Angiography and other advanced CT applications. Most notably, this system exponentially improves coronary artery evaluation, multi-phase pulmonary imaging and whole organ volumetric evaluation, while continuing to make functional and anatomical imaging standard procedures with CT.

Benefits of 64-channel CT:

· Thinner slices to improve data accuracy
· Lowest contrast dose
· Shortest breath holds to complete coronary
CTA exam in 6 to 8 seconds

  • CT has been used for many years and is the procedure of choice for the diagnosis of conditions involving the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.

  • Depending on what your doctor has ordered, a contrast dye may need to be administered to assist our Radiologist in making his diagnosis. This will be administered by our on-site physician and will be explained to you by our Technologists. Please let us know if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any medical dyes or contrasts. For the safety of our patients GMI only uses non-ionic contrast.

  • You may be advised to fast or withhold the taking of certain prescription medications prior to your appointment. Specifically, let our staff know if you are a diabetic or taking Glucophage or Glucotrol, or Metaforin.

  • Please let our staff know prior to your test if you are or might be pregnant or if you are nursing.
